The
14th annual Parade will be staged along the Georgia Avenue corridor on Saturday,
June 24, 2006, and will culminate at the international marketplace "DE
SAVANNAH" - Banneker Recreation
Park featuring food,
craft and entertainment. Sunday June 25, 2006 -DC
Caribbean Carnival, Inc. will continue hosting the international marketplace at
Banneker Park,
"DE SAVANNAH"
with live performances from local and international artists, food, craft and
entertainment.
DC CARNIVAL is an annual event produced by DC Caribbean Carnival, Inc., a
501(C) 3 non-profit organization based in the
District of Columbia
. The
purpose of this event is to bring to fruition an annual Caribbean style
parade in the District of Columbia called "DC
CARNIVAL", develop and encourage cross-cultural programs within the
Washington Metropolitan Area community serviced by DCCC in the expansion
of Caribbean culture, and to educate youths and adults in Caribbean arts,
crafts and culture.

DCCC officially launches DC Carnival
at its annual Glorious Saturday event on April 15, 2006, at
Zanzibar
on the Waterfront,

DCCC will also hosts their annual upcoming events in the Spring and
Summer on the following dates: the Cocktail Sip will take place in May
2006 and Crossroads Entertainment Complex, 4103 Baltimore Avenue Bladensburg,
Md. will host the annual Pan Jam on June 17, 2006, Dimanche Gras
on June 18, 2006 and Battle of the DJs “DJ Sounds Clash” on June 22, 2006. Additional
