DC Caribbean Carnival is one of
the fastest growing Carnivals in North America.
Established in 1993, this carnival has developed from nine bands and approximately
150,000 spectators the first year to 25 bands and well over 300,000 spectators
according to estimates by the Washington Metropolitan Police.
To date, all of the participating groups have been local to the DC Metropolitan
Area, comprising of representatives from every Caribbean country.
The carnival has enjoyed support from several local, national and family-owned
businesses.
Getting Involved
DC Caribbean Carnival, Inc. encourages
community participation through several avenues.

Bands, groups and troupes
are encouraged to register by completing DCCC’s application, waiver
and paying a nominal fee. For an application, contact DCCC.

Vendors come in two categories,
Craft and Food, with the option of vending on Saturday only, Sunday
only or both Saturday and Sunday.
All food vendors must demonstrate previous vending experience with
similar festivals and must comply with the District of Columbia Health
Department’s regulations. Vendors shall sell no beer or alcoholic
beverages. Violators will be arrested and/or fined by a DC police
officer. For an application, contact DCCC.
